problem occured in my friend ipod touch

hey, my friend gave me his ipod touch for free.. but with a price! hahaha! i had to fix the ipod. now heres the thing. when i on it, it goes to the apple logo. after that. a bunch of letters, numbers and code appear. kinda like the matrix. anyways, near the end. it does the same thing over and over. it says "BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0"

i cant even get it to appear in itunes. so... yea. any suggestions?

connect it to itunes then perform a hard restore by pressing the sleep and home button simultaneously, then restore the firware and set it as a new ipod,

is the ipod touch 16gb? because this BSD thing happens to ipod touch when you jailbreak it using ziphone. I read from the other thread that all you need to do is hard reset.

most likely their ipod is a 16gb

previous versions of ziphone is made for 8gb iphones. It is also compatible with 8gb ipod touch (same memory capacity). However, the 16 gb ipod touch has two (2) 8gb memory. according to what i have read, its the memory (2x8gb) that causes this error for 16gb ipod Touch. Feel free to correct if i'm wrong with this one.
