Most ipods run under iTunes. There are two eject keys that are clearly marked on the screen of itunes. It is on the left column under the library, and other folders. The other eject key is on the lower right corner. Do not eject your ipod when it is updating to avoid software problems. But once it is done updating, you can eject the ipod even when it is charging. You don't need a full charge just to eject the ipod.

FYI jlconferido, people would like to help you here, you are asking for one don't you? In no way in your first post did you mention anything about iTunes. By the way, if you own just an iPod, our sister site podcentral.ph may be more helpful for you. It's for iPods specifically.

You just sounded arrogant with your post when someone was just trying to help you out with your concern. That's all.

    jlconferido:

Members have taken the time to try to help you with your iPod problem by answering your post. It would be a good idea to consider all possibilities and to thank the members for any input given (even if it didn’t work).

Please remember that this is an online forum and people don't see facial expressions. Your post might seem okay to you but it did not seem pleasant to others. Were we not taught that it is easier to attract flies with honey than with vinegar?

Also, she may not have fully understood your post due to that terribly long run-on sentence you just posted. Taking the time to type your queries properly will make it easier for people to figure out your problem and come up with a solution for you.

When using PCs (meaning, Wintel boxes with XP OS), the peripherals you attach to it are normally disconnected using the Safely Remove Hardware dialog box. The icon can be found on the system tray of the dock. This is used to eject all sorts of peripheral attachments including external HDD, iPods, video cameras, still cameras and all other devices that are plugged in via USB or FW. Once a hardware is ejected this way, the connection is dismounted and the iPod or device may be safely unplugged.
