Possible 1.02 revirginise, then upgrade and unlock 1.1.1 method....

Hi all,

I have a question/idea that I'm sure affects a lot of people here.

I have an unlocked 1.02 (iunlock - patched baseband) iphone.

Anyone know if this process below will get me to a fully unlocked working 1.1.1:
Use step 10 onwards of this guide to fix the baseband back to original:

Then, upgrade to 1.1.1 with iTunes

Then use iNdependence 1.2.5 to acitivate/jailbreak

Then use anysim1.1.1 to unlock

I cant see how this would not work, as the phone is revirginised before he itunes update, and thus, should make it qualify for anysim 1.1.1

I realize I am only a new member, but I like many am confused, and I hope that if we can get a clear answer to the above quandary, then, it migth help a lot of us out......

Welcome, gizzymo.

The method you posted does not repair the corruption caused by the first generation of software unlocks, and is only used to downgrade from phones which came with 1.1.1 or which were accidentally updated. It was already covered here: 1.1.1 Unlocking and Jailbreaking Guide

If you want to virginize your phone, use this method.
