Plugged In or Out?

Just got an ipod and am planning on using it in my car. My question is this, when using the ipod in the car, and assuming that the ipod is fully charged na, should the car charger stay plugged in or not? which method would help maintain the battery life of the ipod?

It doesn't matter in the end since the batteries of our iPods are made out of Litium Ion. If you're still paranoid about it (like me), You can opt to have the backlight on "always on" so that it'd dissipate energy through it. (It's a theory lang though)
