Default Please Connect To iTunes Problem

I kept getting that message on my iphone. It is stuck there. Also, my itunes can't detect my iphone anymore. Even if I connect it to iTunes, the "Please Connect To iTunes" still shows. I already tried holding the home and reset button but it didn't work. My iphone was 1.02 unlocked but when I got home, my sister told me that she was messing with my iphone and "accidentally" upgraded to 1.1.1. Is my iphone bricked or is there any solutions to fix this?

Do you get the yellow triangle or the iTunes logo with the cable? The former means you're still at 1.0.2, The latter means you've just bricked your iPhone.

There is hope: what to do with "bricked" iPhone?

I am getting the yellow triangle of Please Connect to iTunes. I'm looking at the thread you provided but I'm not too sure what to do. I'll just read it again.

if you are still getting the yellow triangle, that's a bit of good news coz your iphone is still in 1.0.2 (just like what elbert said)... just keep on trying to hold the sleep button+home to put the iphone on recovery mode...

    Hi flipto

Just want to know what was the solution you followed to have it fixed??? had the same problem i was connectiing mine to my iTunes to save my address book. For a time it was recognized by itunes then it just disconnected! so i tried a differnt cable then the CONNECT TO ITUNES triangle was on the screen!!!!

Did you just hold the HOME and SLEEP button??? how long and how many times?

I had to do a Restore using 1.0.2 firmware. installed Apptap and used independence to activate it.... but i don think i should have done that process ......what if this happened to me and im far from my computer..... its ok now.....just want to know if there is a shortcut if it happened again

Assuming you're on 1.0.2 and a Windows user, you can connect the phone to your PC and run iBrickr. If it detects the phone in restore mode, click the option which would try to boot the iPhone. If the screen turns red, just wait and you'll see the SpringBoard in a short while. If the screen turns green, something serious happened to the iPhone and only a restore will suffice.
