So few knew what an iPod was wayback then. I remember an incident on my flight from Paris to Manila in 2003... my seatmate was a French guy who was so curious about my iPod and even if it was difficult for him to express himself in English, he asked me a lot of question about "that white gadget". BTW, mine was a 10 gb 2nd gen iPod.

Ego trip lang, but that was the time when I felt extra proud (and privileged) to wear those white earphones. Ngayon, ang dami nang may iPod, which is also good because people nowadays know a little more about Apple compared to, uhm, a couple of years ago.

I love how Apple does these "intro" videos. Does anyone have a high-quality copy of the iPod intro movie? I like collecting these and I have the ones for the original aluminum PowerBooks, iLife '04, iTunes Music Store, iMac G4, iMac G5, Panther, and the Power Mac G5. Too bad they didn't make one for Tiger.

I find Jonathan Ive's statement "...Our goal was to design the very very best MP3 player we could, to design something that could become an icon, and, you know, we'll see if that's the case or not..." particularly foretelling. Well, I guess we can safely say that they succeeded.
