Default one-month old 30g ipod video

my ipod video, which is barely a month old, has suddenly stopped working. the screen just says "don't disconnect." has anyone encountered the same problem? thing is it was bought in the US. how long does it usually take for resellers in manila to replace a defective unit?

So you mean the "Don't Disconnect" is still there even if you already dismounted it from your computer? Does it blink?

You can try to troubleshoot it by going to Apple support site: iPod Issues

how long does the "Do not disconnect" last?

i have my iTunes on Automatic sync all (movies, music, photos). All source movies, music, photos are on my ipod. if i'm just syncing a few new songs, it's only a few minutes. the entire library siguro 20 mins (very rough estimate).

Last night when I upgraded my iTunes from 7.0.1 to 7.0.2 I was also concerned that the "Do Not disconnect" was taking what seemed to be forever. It was blinking, the circle was swirling... it was syncing...

but since iTunes sync doesn't have a status bar saying what percentage was already done, i was getting alarmed.

I decided to stick with it and let it go.

I watched Smallville 6x07... 40 mins later just when i was about to give up..

    OPTIMIZING PHOTOS... 1 of 34...

and then a few mins later...

    POOF!

    TAPOS.

Although I think the switch from 7.0.1 to 7.0.2... Apple must have rewired everything..

but now I'm back to the usual few mins speed...

    hope this helps.

Just keep it plugged it. (How many GB do you sync? Mine is around 6GIG)

Kung 1hr + na yan... then take it to the shop

it's also a good sign if you can terminate the sync by pressing eject.

    I did once.

At least that says the system kahit papaano is still working, and hasn't frozen...
