yes it can be. but still there might be some cases that it can't (i.e. fried radio unit..)

hi mudcrabs, i'd say it depends on the reason for the brick-ing. but unlike in the "early" iPhone days, a lot of bricking is reversible.

how does an iphone get bricked?is it due to upgrades?i dont know much stuffs because mine is still in 1.0.2 and it works just fine for me..

like in your case if you update your phone to a new firmware without virginizing it, it will cause your phone to boot in restore mode and not in the activate screen or have invalid iemi.

It actually depends on how the phone was unlocked/hacked. Ive had the same problem before where I cannot receive text messages but I can send out messages. You might want to try revirginizing your iPhone and unlock it again. It may be tedious but it might solve your issue.

Guys, Contacts are synched and back up in our Mac's ADDRESS BOOK while our Calendar dates and notes are in iCAL. But where in our Macs are the iPhone NOTES stored or backed up at?
