Nifty iTunes utility!

I just purchased an app called Synergy which I read about on www.smartplaylists.com. It's really a great tool for controlling iTunes without jumping back and forth between programs. You can control iTunes with hotkeys and with back/play/forward buttons that can be placed on the menu bar. When a new song is played, a transparent floater appears with the song's details. And with the hotkeys, you can even rate the song as it plays. It costs 5 Euros / 10 USD. Check out the Synergy website for an online tour.

I've been using this software for a long time. I love the MTV like bezel that pops up showing the album art of the playing song but more importantly, the iTunes controller that sits elegantly on the menu bar is better than any Konfabulator iTunes controller. Very much worth it

I have to agree. Kelvin introduced me to Synergy and it's been on my menu bar ever since. Haha, I'm such a sucker for the album art that pops up when a song is played.

My OC-ness really kicked in because of the album art. The cd art I couldn't find on the net, I took pictures of and edited on Photoshop! I couldn't stand not seeing any album art!
