Newbie in need of help!!!

I just got an iphone from ebay U.S.


Right now all I could do is text and call and connect to the internet. That's it.

I have no clue of what you guys are talkin' about...at all.

I am not so techie but I don't want a good phone to go to waste either.

Where do I start? I am hoping to load it up with some games, music video, etc.

Any help will be appreciated!!

Hhmm.. I'm not promoting Greenhills here but it's your prerogative if you want to send your iphone there and ask for a technician to stuff it. You can also download softwares/apps over the net but I suggest you browse for threads here discussing iphone so you can get lots of info on what to do, what and how to install, and what to do when it gets crazy. Got mine stuffed by a qualified technician so I'm fully updated on everything and doesn't experience any problems so far.

If it's unlocked, then there's a chance it's Jailbroken too,
All you need is iTunes (Download it from www.apple.com/itunes) then put all your songs to iTunes, and sync your iPhone with all the songs.

As for stuffing it with Apps, as I've said, I think it is Jailbroken, all you need to do is just tap the installer icon on your home screen (make sure you have net over wifi) and select install and choose what games or apps you want to install (make sure you understand the risk and that it is compatible with your version of iPhone.). Install it and you're done. Add more sources for more apps.

she might be asking on how to jailbreak her iphone

i suggest to you evie that you should first read some faqs on how to jailbreak because it might mess up your iphone especially if you're not that techie type,

or like papaystarr suggested, some greenhills stores offer unlocking/jailbreaking services though it might cost you much

Just to give you an idea evie if you decided to hand it to Greenhills pips the cost of jailbraiking+apps will go around 1,500-2k. I know a shop there that can do that stuff for 1k only but I can't remember it's name. It's in front of the auto accessories store in 2nd floor, in between Sanry's and the bath/toiletries store. The owner of the shop is very accomodating and shares a lot of do's and dont's on your iphone. He comes late though, mga 3pm onwards during Fridays. Saturdays and Sundays only. If you find it reasonable to blow a thousand just to make you happy I suggest you give it a try. (",)

sorry for the late response guys. but anyways my iphone is jailbroken. just really dont know how to use it.
