New user and confused! (iPhone 1.1.2 > 1.1.4)
Hello! I just got my iPhone today, sorry if I'm making a new thread since I didn't find time to look around and if did I would have spent a whole hour scanning through the pages.
Heres my Q>
I got an iPhone which is a 1.1.2 with 4.02.13_G Modem Firmware or Baseband?
If I upgraded to 1.1.4 is there any consequences?
If there is, how can I upgrade safely? thanks!

the thread starter only asks about updating to 1.1.4, why the need to use Ziphone?
back to topic:
consequences of updating: you'll get the latest fix for known bugs of previous firmware release, and ofcourse you'll also get the bugs of 1.1.4
safest upgrade/update i would recommend is to use iTunes.

Re: New user and confused! (iPhone 1.1.2 > 1.1.4)
ok.
this is all documented in this site, but to summarize:
(1) restore/update your iphone firmware to 1.1.4 using itunes.
(2) use ziphone 3.0 to activate, jailbreak and unlock your phone.
that's it in a nutshell. if you want specifics, go to the site above and read up.
