Dagnabit. I want the one-click shuffle and being able to delete songs from On-The-Go playlists on my 3G iPod.

That "hearing the click thingy" would sure be useful for 3rd gen owners.

uhm... i just downloaded the latest update and when the ipod updater came on, the only option was "Restore" with the following description (see image).

does that mean all contents on my ipod gets erased? does that mean my itunes library stays as is and after the "restore", i just sync my itunes again to my ipod?

pls advise! i am intimidated by the term "completely erases".

if you're using a 3g ipod, then you don't really need this update..its the same as the last one (version 2.2)..for the 3g's at least...this update is primarily for the 4g's..
which is probably why you get 'restore' as your only option...

don't worry with the restore option, bumblebee, as the update will simultaneously update your ipod to ver.2.2. After doing so, simply re-mount the ipod, and launch iTunes. this will sync all your songs and playlists like you did the first time you plugged it to your mac.
