Default new iPhone's Settings aren't accessible!

    help!

i can't seem to access my Clock nor the Date and Time Settings in my iPhone. when i select either of them, it simply goes back to the main menu!

also happens when i navigate to the Mail, Contacts, Calendars Settings as well. here, i can't scroll all the way down. it stops and then goes back to the main menu! :-(

have you tried a full restore? if it still doesn't work, it may be time to get a replacement from globe.

    no i haven't tried a full restore.

if i do, it'll erase all the contents and apps i've loaded and installed, right?

that's what the back up feature is for. Right click iPhone, and click on Backup. As soon as you are done, then proceed with the restore. All your apps will be backed up as well as messages in your SMS app..

For the music, videos, podcasts and email accounts, you may need to resynch manually after the restore.

ok thanks. i'm wondering though if the Date and Time & Clock misbehaviors in my iPhone are due to my mac's date and time misbehaviors...

in the Finder, ALL my Date Created and Date Modified data's are dated the 5th of every month.

in Mail, ALL my created, sent and received mail are also dated the 5th of every month.

in Address Book, ALL the birthdays of my contacts are displayed as the 5th of their birth month, BUT when you click to edit them, they display the CORRECT birthday!

i posted this problem several months ago but no one replied. meaning no one had the same problem.

google reveals i'm probably the only mac user in the world experiencing this enigma.

you guys think this is the one screwing up my iPhone too???

You're not the only one, rogue. At least as far as the Date/Time setting on the iPhone is concerned.

I noticed that I can't access that setting as well, since upgrading to 2.1. Going to that part just kicks me back to the main menu. Not that I need it, really, since the time updates when I sync, or from the net directly. It's just irritating. (And I want to enable that AM/PM thing but can't.)

I don't think it's related to your Mac's date notifications (since my Mac doesn't have the problem and I still can't access the time settings on the iPhone), but you should really look into it. Disturbing, and might be symptomatic of a bigger concern.
