New to the iphone
Hi Guys,
Im new here in Philmug. I'm getting my Iphone 3g unit from globe this Wednesday and am really excited about it.
I havn't used the first iphone and am gonna be very new at this. Its going to be my first "smart" phone. I've read lots of great things about the phone and I was hoping to hear some feedback positive or negative from you guys.
There are a few things that confuse me about the phone and I was wondering if some of you guys know about these.
How can I transfer contacts from my Sim to my iphone?
Has anyone encountered any bugs or sorts on the phone?
Any advice for people like me who are shifting from a "traditional" phone to an iphone?
Thanks in advance for your answers guys!

Re: New to the iphone
1. Sorry can't answer question 1 since I don't have a 3g iPhone.
2. There's really bugs out there. Thats why Apple is constantly releasing firmwares to get rid of those bugs
3. Hm..tinker with it till you get the hang of it
And oh, welcome to PhilMUG and congrats on your iPhone 3g. =)

Re: New to the iphone
Hi tito rens.
here are the answers your questions.
1. Install SIM card from previous device into iPhone 3G and select Settings >>>
Mail/Calendar/Contacts >>> Import SIM Contacts >>> SIM Import
2. Yes there are some bugs in it. But it's minimal
3. Well for my experience back in august 07 when i have my 1st gen iPhone, i had difficulties using the keypad for texting, but now im much faster with it rather than the numeric key from standard phones. But if you Keyboard oriented naman. Its easy na din.
