My IPT's having trouble displaying black images. It seems washed-out. I bought it in the states, and in the states, I can have it swapped, is it the same deal here?

Could be file quality. Although blacks and dark green tend to be blocky on average video files.

do you have the same problem across all viewing angles?

Update it with the latest software, it may be an old stock version of the color problem iPod touch. It was one of the first batch. A simple update might do you good.

Tried updating, came out better, but not as clear as when I first got it.

It's what's more important, a hard to view color or a not so clear but still usable iPod.

I just want it to be as good as new...I only bought it a month ago, just started using it last week.

Bring it to an Apple store for diagnostics and/or repair.
