Logging out my iTunes account from my old iphone

Hi guys... quick question...

Being one of the ones who upgraded from the 1st gen iphone to iphone 3g, i am now trying to log-off my apple id from my old iphone as i am giving it to someone else (who has her own itunes account). Does anyone know how i can do this? Seems like an awfully simple thing to do, but for some reason, i can't figure it out.

the only way to use it with another computer is to restore it right?

Unless you use the same computer here's what you do: just log out your account from iTunes Store in your PC/Mac and then login your friend's account. Sync your iPhone and you will now see you friend's username and App Store/iTunes Mobile will ask for his/her pass.

how about if she will use it with her own mac? what do you mean by "restore"?

restore your iPhone, because you can't access the media part of the phone on a diff mac, try it to know the outcome.

iPhone sadly cannot sync with more than one PC unlike iPods.

Just connect to iTunes. Once the iPhone is connected, click the Restore button in the summary tab. It will erase all data in your iPhone. Your friend can then synchronize her data using her own iTunes account.

just sign out your iTunes account before you disconnect your iphone
