jailbreakme.com doesnt seem to work

Masters,

Any info on this one? Im trying to jailbreak my phone which was corrupted from version 1.1.2. I have managed to downgarde from 1.0.2 and now im in 1.1.1.

Im trying to use the online method to jailbreak but i cant seem to make it work. It keeps sending me back to the Activation slider and the dialer.

ANy tips on this one? Any non internet method i can use?

There are two reasons that might cause this problem. First would be your Wifi Connection, second would be jailbreakme.com's server that might not be responding at the moment you are trying to connect to it. For some reasons, it might also take time. Retrying might solve the issue but if not, you can make use of iDemocracy which can be found here. All you need to do is follow the steps and you're good to go. I hope this helps

hi, returning back to activation slider does not mean it idid not work, infact that is normal all you have to do is wait for your unit to restart on its own within 2minutes, if it does not restart then it is safe to say that it did not jailbreak your iphone, another suggestion i can give you is, right after tapping install apptapp your phone goes back to the activation screen , then dial "0" let the phone ring tap the ff. ( answer -hold-decline- ) here you will see a progress of the download, when its done your phone will restart and will say slide to unlock , and not slide for emergency...... HTH

It's supposed to send you back to the main screen. It takes about a minute to download and restart your phone, and if you touch it before that, you can interrupt the process. If after a few minutes, nothing has happened, then you can attempt it again. You may need to restore to 1.1.1 again and start from scratch.

I just updated my other phone from 1.0.2 to 1.1.1 and Was able to do it within 13 mins. Hassle free procedure. Jailbreakme works great. I really think it all boils down to having a good WiFI connection afterall.

got to update to 1.1.2, thanks to everyone who helped. Clemente's tip was priceless. It gave me a percentage as it downloads the exploit

Can you help me out? I was able to install AppSnapp and was able to activate the phone but it never installed Installer.app. Weird.

Now I don't know how to install Installer.app on to my iPhone to run anySIM 1.2.

you can use independence to transfer installer.app into your iPhone.
