As much as the other thread is helpful this thread gets to the point of replacing your car's head unit with one that has a direct or "adapter ready" connector. The contact info below is of the distributor of the after market solutions. As a policy they may not sell directly to consumers. You can call them up for what head units work with your iPod and location of their resellers.
