iPod Warranty (about battery life)
My 10 GB ipod is barely 10 months "old" and I have noticed a big decrease in battery life.
Today, I started using it at around 5:00 AM (yes, I go to the office quite early -- part of my day job) at its approximately 7:30 AM and its battery indicator is already at 50%.
If this is indeed an indication of a "weak" battery, can I claim warranty?
BTW, I bought this direct from MicroWarehouse last January.

how about continous play ? how long does it last?
i think i've read somewhere that the indicator isn't that accurate...

I'll try doing a more exhaustive test tomorrow and see.

Have it checked over at Apple Center Greenbelt. Time to get an AppleCare Protection Plan.

*IF* the battery has really gone weak, then I won't need an APP to have it fixed/replaced right? If it does, then I'll just get the APP *after* its been fixed/replaced.

@wins: baka asarin na naman ako ng mga girls sa AppleCenter sa Greenbelt, saying that I bought the 'Pod from MicroWarehouse pero sa kanila pa din ang support....

Bernie, the indicator is not precise. Run the iPod until the battery actually dies. measure it based on actual use, not on the indicator.
Mine shows 75% right after charging overnight.
EDIT: Bernie, no matter where you buy your iPod, meski sa Zimbabwe, sa Powermac/Apple Center pa rin yun bagsak niyan for support.

Thanks for the replies... As I've said, I'll do more exhaustive tests starting tomorrow.
