Ipod Warranty

Does Apple Phils cover warranty for ipods bought in the US? Im considering buying a 2nd hand ipod from the classifieds but they do not give any warranty as they are bought in the states.

i think, as long as you get a proof of ownership, such as you get the original receip from the original purchaser and he gives you a transfer of ownership receipt, then you're still good for the warranty. (that is if the unit is still under warranty)
