iPod video charge cycle question

im planning to use the ipod to watch videos in my TV. so im planning to do this while the ipod is plugged in.

just wondering if kung nakasaksak ba yung ipod habang nanonood ako counts as a charge cycle and would reduce the life of my battery, ok kse sana kung pwede ako manood ng say a season od desperate housewives using my ipod e
