Ipod Video + Camera Connector + 350D Problem

Hi. I know there's a thread on this posted earlier but I can't seem to reply to it nor does it contain a solution to my problem...

I recently purchased an Ipod Camera Connector based on information on the apple.com website and from the previous thread in this forum that i mentioned. Both state that it's compatible with my Ipod Video and Canon 350d (in PTP mode).

I can't seem to get the combo to work.

I tried setting the camera to PTP mode but all I get on the Ipod screen is Unsupported Device.
I tried setting the camera to PC mode with the same result.
I tried changing to another CF card with the same result.
I tried resetting my Ipod with the same result.
I tried a different USB cable with the same result.
I tried changing the sequence of connection (a)connect to ipod 1st then camera, (b) connect to camera then ipod

Remaining Capacity 11.7GB

Camera Details
Canon 350D
Firmware : 1.0.3
Memory Card : 1GB Ridata 80x

Connectors
Apple Ipod Camera Connector
Canon USB cable (the one that came in the box of my camera)
