ipod touch applecare

my cousin has kept the applecare he bought along with his 20gb ipod and has not activated it.

the applecare is a M9404LL/A

i would like to know if this will work on the ipod touch because he's willing to give it to me for free if it does. he already got himself an iphone

I think it will work. There's no specific AppleCare for the iPod Touch on the Apple Store.
