Default iPod and the Public Sphere

I am not really sure if this is suppose to be in this section but here it goes...

Would anyone know of any articles, scientific studies or journals, that have explored the effects of the iPod on human interaction (the public sphere)? I'm working on one of my requirements for my Issues in Media and Culture class here in the UK and my topic is basically how technology (specifically the iPod, email, webcams and mobile phones) has affected the way people interact with each other.

I have unearthed some studies on how the Walkman caused people zone out of from the world around them and escape into one revolving around the walkman, pretty much similar to how the iPod does the same nowadays. But the studies are kinda old and was hoping for something more current.

Any websites that I can probably check out? Magazine articles would be helpful if there are sources to maybe do more research on.

    Hope you guys can help...

Found some interesting articles. Don't know if they're what you really need:

Many of these articles did mention Dr. Michael Bull of the University of Sussex. Maybe you can get in touch with him since he's from the UK (if you have not already). He seems to be an expert on this.

Hey thanks...they're pretty helpful. Not to mention the bibliographies with the Dr. Bull link may come in handy. Thank you and I really appreciate it.
