Default ipod not playing song in an album

I have a problem encountered with my ipod.
When I choose to play some album, it will just scan all the songs in very fast pace... I mean the screen shows the songs form 1 to last and then back to my main menu.

It didn't play a single song.

    What could be the problem?

Does it happen to all albums or just one album in particular? Have you tried reseting your iPod? What kind of iPod do you have? If you have the 3rd gen iPod you can do a reset by pressing the menu and play button at the same time for 3 seconds (or more... I'm not too sure).

    Kelvin,

its only in some albums, i tried adding a playlist in those album but still i cant play.

to play those songs in an album, i just pause it while it scans and press back to song #1 and press play, sometimes it plays, sometimes it doesn't. but when it plays, it can play the entire album songs

Hmmm, have you tried reseting your iPod? Culprit MAYBE corrupted mp3 files... I'm not too sure though cause that has never happened to me.

Try the reset and tell what happens

Hey, it also happened to my 3G ipod kanina. it breezed through allt the language lesson mp3's in a zzzziiip! At that time, I though it was a headphone problem, until i noticed the lesson numbers blitzed from Lesson_001 to Lesson_134.

Anyway, I will just re-sync this album later. All the other albums plays ok naman, except for that one language lesson mp3 album.

Corrupted MP3 files are the usual suspect but it could also be the iPod acting up. You can try to re-flash the firmware of the iPod.

i just read in apple.com discussions that some also have this same problem. to fix, the firmware should be reset to factory settings and re-sync it again. but how could we re-sync if we have 40g? lucky for me that i only have 13gb of songs in my ipod, but problem is that i manually put the songs in my ipod, leaving nothing of mp3 files in my hdd. for now, i should copy all the songs into my hdd and copy it back to ipod.
