Nah. If Nokia's reputation for breakability and firmware issues is anything to go by this will be a nightmare to maintain. It's already difficult enough to make bt connections to Nokias so we're not even sure if it'll work properly with our hardware. With all the technology they crammed into it it'll probably debut at 45k, just like the over-hyped N90. The iPod's main selling point is the software integration and true usability + it does not try to be anything else than what it was intended to be. Oh yeah, that N91 looks ugly, come to think of it, most of Nokia's newer models are weird looking and trying too hard to be hip. imho.

I've gotten the chance to test out a demo unit of the N91 for a project that we did. Didn't get to play with it much though. Some thoughts... The unit is a nice looking phone, solid feel but too heavy for my taste. I guess I'm just used to smaller phones. The new browser of Nokia is really good. It displays web pages almost as good as your "normal" web browser.

However will this be an iPod Nano killer? I don't think so. The Nano's appeal is in it's size, simplicity and ease of use. This has none of the above.

Also in my opinion I really don't want an all in one phone. Much less a phone that will act as my music player. Why? For the simple fact that I use my phone for what it was really intended for, calls. I don't want to run out my batteries unneccesarily because I've been listening to a lot of music. I want to be able to make calls when I need to. PIM + Phone is ok. Music player + Phone... hmmm.. no thanks. That's just me.

Just saw a shop at SM Manila selling the N91 at P35,700!!! Was very tempted to take the plunge but luckily, my wife was with me to bring me back to sanity (of course, she's still waiting for me to buy her an N70!)

Just compare the size and weight and you will know which is the clear winner.
