    Default iPod/iPod Mini on Windows

A top honcho on one of the biggest local banks just recently jumped into the iPod bandwagon and he asked me to put some music on his spanking brand new blue iPod mini. This guy is using Windows so I fired up my iTunes 4.6 on my office PeeCee and transferred his MP3s to his iPod.

Here are my questions -- Will he still be able to access the songs I uploaded to the 'Pod if he eventually connects it to his PeeCee? (BTW, I set it up so that the songs are "manually managed&quot

What Win-based programs can he use to put his contacts and schedules to the 'Pods built-in PIM applications?

I'm anticipating that it won't be the last time that I'll be asked to transfer stuff to the iPod mini and I just like to anticipate the additional questions that may be asked since I have a feeling that he won't be the last person who'll ask me to setup iPods at the office.

I don't think he'll be able to access the songs via his iTunes software on his PC. He can, however, access the songs on his iPod (natively via Windows Explorer? or some other software, I forget) and then transfer them to his PC hard drive, then import the songs into his iTunes.

I have an ipod that i sync'd with my laptop.. Now i'm trying to get it to work with my windows pc. Its saying i need to download the ipod update software (downloaded it for the pc and mac). The ipod's been updated via my laptop.. now when i plug it into the pc it says it has to reformat the ipod. Anyway to get the ipod to work with a windows pc and my mac laptop without me having to keep reformatting it?

If he plugs the iPod into a PC, he'll probably lose all the music. In my experience, if the iPod is first formatted by and used with a Mac, it will not work on a PC, unless reformatted. It works the other way around though. A PC-formatted iPod can be used in a Mac.

Is there a way to sync music on two computers via an ipod? I want the music on my desktop to be the same as what i have on my laptop. (Mac Laptop.. WinXP Desktop) btw.. got my ipod working fine with WinXP.. reformatted it and sync'd the songs again off my laptop.
