    Default iPOD harddrive replacement

my ipod needs hard drive replacement. its out of warranty. apple care does not wantt to open it if its not a battery problem. best they can offer is 10% rebate on a new one. does anyone know where i can have it repaired? any person who does this on his own?

Yes, Mobile1, in Park Square does this kind of service. however, they don't have stock of replacement drive. You might want to Google for the part. If you can supply the part, they can replace it for you.

I have a busted 2g iPod with 20gig HD. If they are compatible, I'm interested in buying yours or selling mine. I don't know how much this transaction should go for so anybody with ideas please post.
