iPhone v1.0.2 update - Caution!
A word of caution for those updating their iPhones to v1.0.2 (that came out today). If you used ifuntastic in any way (to add ringtones, change app sequence, etc), the update will temporarily brick your phone, and force you to do a complete restore.
Downloading the original firmware will take some time. Once iTunes finishes restoring your iPhone's firmware, it will ask if you want to activae your phone or restore it from its previous settings (good thing it gives you the latter option!) It will restore all your data, and will do a complete music and video resync from iTunes.
Most settings are restored. What's not however are all the settings with passwords. This includes voice mail, wifi, and all your email accounts. You have to go enter you passwords on each one.
I haven't noticed any improvements or anything that has changed yet. I'll update everyone on whatever I find.

Thanks for the update, bro.
Obviously, this is Apple's way to block hacks -- which is good in my opinion. I believe, a machine this fantastic needs to be pure.
Sure, I'd like an iPhone. But I'm willing to wait until the official version gets released. I don't mind the wait for this awesome device.
In the meantime, I'm still happy with my iPod and Treo 650.
...so long and thanks for all the fish!
