    Default iPhone Problem: Network Lost

I have an iPhone 3G and recently encountered this message quite a number of times:

It occured several times over the holidays, both here and in Baguio.

On some occasions, I'd leave the phone alone and the signal would return. Or I would restart the phone, which wasn't always the solution because I'd sometimes get the same message after I restart.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I started getting this error earlier. How did you get this fixed?

I was getting "no service" on my phone since yesterday and whn I tried the sim on anoter phone it didn't work so I assumed it was a defective sim card. I had my spare sim card activated and now I'm getting the "network lost" error at least 5x in an hour.

Oh yeah my workatound to get the service back is to power cycle the phone. It's very inconvenient. My phone is just 32 days old. :/

It happens quite a few times on my one month old iphone too. It normally happens if nasa area ako na mahina ang signal talaga. On some instances, I just transfer my sim to another phone and re-insert it back to my iphone. That usually works.

how about you toggle airplane mode instead of rebooting the iphone? it doesn't happen to me often but when I get a No Service I just turn Airplane Mode on and then off to force the iPhone to reconnect to the network.

This has been a normal occurrence for me since I got my iPhone 2 months ago. I think the phones reception is week compared to other phones.

it could be an antenna problem. try asking the service center to check on it. They replaced my whole unit.

I'll get this checked out. In a few weeks or so. I got the iPhone to replace my Motorola q9h thaw still in the serve center (2monhs) now so I'll wait for that to be replaced.

My iPhone is about 35 days old and never used to have this prblem.I nitially started getting the "unable to load network list" error an then this. Looks like it just stops searching for networks after you pass through an area with weak signal. Switching to airplane mode does not work either. A full power cycle is required to get the sgnal back.

This happened to me a few times, and then the wi-fi stopped working. Had to return it to Globe and they replaced it in 2 weeks.
