while the iPhone seems to be a real good gaming platform, there will only be a certain amount of games that will really "work' with it.

personally the "PHYSICAL" feedback from button mashing can NEVER be replaced by a touch screen. but i must admit games that will play to the strength of the iphone's accelerometer, like the demo of monkey ball by sega, will definitely blow users away. making the iphone a possible alternative to other handheld gaming consoles.

now if apple were to create a cradle/dock for the iphone to support "real" buttons, then possibly the future of other handheld gaming devices might be in jeopardy. wow that'd be something...think directional keys on one side and A+B 9maybe more) buttons on the other side with the iPhone dockable in either portrait or landscape mode in between....wow

Yeah correct! If they want to compete with DS and PSP they should improve first their battery. Gamers doesn't want to be interrupted.
