iPhone Nano Rumors - Just in time for MW09?

Through my Twitter Feeds, I picked these up from the following sites:

Apparently iDealsChina.com found these renderings of cases for what looks to be a smaller iPhone. Again, we should take all rumors with a grain of salt. However, this is the same idealschina that came up with pics of silicone cases for what eventually would be the new iPhone 3G this past May. So they've been right before. Plus the whole "base the new product on cases" deal has panned out for the iPod Nano this past September when one Blogger came out with pics of what would eventually be cases for the iPod Nano.

at least some new hardware to get me excited for MW09!

i was already resigned to the expectation that the best thing to come out of it would be friggin Snow Leopard and a new ATV lang... lets hope this "based on cases" guesses shows consistency!

just in case it does indeed come out, hopefully it ain't Globe locked apart from it being a tad cheaper compared to the iPhone 3G.

i'd probably get one if it looked close to something like this over the net [ and hoping for a 5MP camera to boot! lol! ]:

More than this iPhone Nano, I would prefer that MW09 updates the iMac and the MacMini without removing the firewire port...

or maybe update the iPhone to have a 5mp cam with flash, mms, copy/paste, sms forwarding, the option to have a keyboard accessory, horizontal email typing - things to counter the Omnia and the Xperia...

My guess is there will be always be iPhone updates / upgrades EVERY MWSF. With the frequency that competitors roll out new models and features, Apple HAS to keep the iPhone fresh in order to stay competitive.

COOL, an iphone for people who wants smaller phone...
they should also make an iphone for camera-phone hyped people..
front cam for video calls + main cam around 3.5mpx or 5mpx much better with flash of course...

but i still like the current iphone's big screen though...

great idea there makingdots! it would also be nice if Apple could come up with 6 other iPhone|Nano variations:

1] iPhone|Nano 3G with front cam, 3MP camera, video recording at 30FPS, with a choice between 16 and 32GB of memory, Genius and wireless N technology!

2] iPhone|Nano 3G for the cybershot junkie! all the aforementioned inputs plus a 5MP camera using Carl Zeiss lens with Xenon flash!

3] iPhone|Nano XG! [ XG coz this is gonna be the last frontier for mobile phones! ] all the aforementioned but this one's gonna be powered with the same [ or smaller even! ] Core2Duo processor akin to the Macbook Air with a choice between a 32GB hard drive or a 16GB SSD! forget netbooks! this is gonna be the one to beat!
