iPhone Help
Pardon me for being so dumb about all this but we're are not quite sure how to fix the problem hehe. My friend got an iPhone about 2 days ago. His dad was able to jailbreak it and install anysim and installer.app (1.0.2). The unit is bnew.
Now, he picks up network signals, but won't connect. No sound comes out from the earpiece nor the loudspeaker. Youtube won't connect, and iTunes won't work. His dad tells us that he was lacking some files for one of the softwares. We we're thinking of restoring the phone but doing so would update it to 1.1.2, and we don't wanna do that since we have to downgrade and all that.
Is there an easy way of restoring it back to a bnew unit? TIA
Sorry for the ignorance, we're only 16

Re: iPhone Help
Look around for the link of the 1.0.2 or 1.1.1 firmware files. After which you can simply press shift+restore (windows) or option+restore (mac) and select the desired firmware. You might have to put your iPhone in recovery mode in order to do this. Simply turn it off, then while holding down the home button, plug it into your computer and wait for iTunes to detect it.

Re: iPhone Help
You can download the 1.0.2 firmware files from the link below:
http://appldnld.apple.com.edgesuite....8_Restore.ipsw
As sir mikaelrules noted, you need to then: a) put the iPhone in recovery mode in order to perform a restore; and b) simultaneously press the Shift key and Restore button (if you're using a Windows PC) or the Option key and Restore button (if you're using a Mac) in order to make iTunes use the firmware you downloaded.
