Re: iPhone 1.1.1 firmware
Not a great update but probably worth it if only for the double-click feature. I could use that.
Everything else is kinda meh.
EDIT: What WOULD make it really useful is if the WiFi iTunes Store offered podcast subscriptions and updating. From what I can gather off the net, it doesn't seem like that's the case.

Yep. The update that would be worth it for me, would be the one that incorporates all the SMS functionality we need and deserve.

Lets wait till some with a hacked/unlocked iPhone tries to upgrade his firmware, that we can only say wheter it will lock up the phone again or brick it :slanted:

I've heard that unlocking celfones in the US is legal so Apple will have problems when unlocked iPhones suddenly stop working due to software updates thru iTunes.

Re: iPhone 1.1.1 firmware
At least one possible benefit of Apple releasing the same 2.5g iPhone in the UK is faster firmware updates with the features we want. Phone usage in the UK is more similar to the Philippines than the USA. The UK customers will be more demanding of SMS and MMS features and just might push Apple to release updates that we can use (after its hacked of course)
