iPhone is DAMAGED and CANNOT BE ACTIVATED
Been using my iPhone for more than a month. I tried to install AppTapp and my iPhone re-locked and needs to be activated. Worse is, everytime I try to connect to iTunes I get this message:
There is a problem with your iPhone.
We're sorry, the iPhone you connected may be damaged and cannot be activated for service. We recommend you visit the nearest AppleStore for more information.
How do I go about this then?

currently what's the state of your iphone? is it in the screen where is says "Activate with iTunes"? download independence and put it in recovery mode and restore it to any firmware you want...

Have you tried going to DFU mode already? I haven't seen a bricked iPhone yet that can't be fixed.

Connect your iPhone to your computer with the dock cable and make sure iTunes is open. Turn on your iPhone if it isn't already on. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons together for ten seconds, then release the Sleep button, but continue to press the Home button (your iPhone will appear to turn off at about 6-7 seconds). If you did it right, iTunes should say that an iPhone in restore mode has been detected. From there you can do a restore.

thanks for answering quietcynic.. i think its around 25 seconds for you to enter the DFU mode.. you have to literally count.

It usually takes about 10 seconds after releasing the sleep button for iTunes to detect the iPhone.
