is it possible to use my sun sim card on 3g iphone right now?

It depends where you got your iPhone 3G. Certain countries such as HK sell unlocked iPhones. If it's unlocked, then you can use your Sun SIM.

There is no way to unlock a SIM-locked 3G iPhone as of now. Jailbreaking is possible though.

Jailbreaking allows you access to the iPhone's filesystem so that you can install 3rd party applications. Unlocking refers to allowing the use of non-approved SIM cards in the iPhone.

The short answer would be no. The jailbreaking is software based so if you have to send your unit to be serviced, just restore it to it's "original" state. Correct me if i'm wrong;

u cant get p20 and an SMS app that forwards w/o jailbreaking ur phone.. Unless the app is from the appstore..jailbreaking voids the warranty but just like incident said u can just do a restore to remove evrything..
