iPhone 3G and OEM stereo
Has anyone successfully connected their iPhone 3G to an OEM car stereo?
I drive a Mazda3 and the only solutions I've found work with the iPod Touch and not iPhones.
I don't want to use an FM transmitter since it sucks as compared to a direct connection.
I don't need to be able to control my iPhone using my steering wheel controls.
I would be happy just to connect my headphone jack of my iPhone to the AUX of my OEM stereo. But I was told that OEM stereos don't have RCA jacks so it isn't that simple.
Been asking around and checking online and can't seem to find an answer to this. Can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance.

Re: iPhone 3G and OEM stereo
most newer car models has 3.5mm aux jack plug input, mine is Civic FD, just use an both end male cable to connect the iphone, working naman, btw you should up the volume on the iphone,
also if your iPhone is 2G or Classic, you will need a smaller adapter that can recess in the socket

Re: iPhone 3G and OEM stereo
My car is a 3 year old Mazda3 that doesn't have the 3.5mm aux jack input. How I wish it did though.
There are loads of iPod integration kits for iPods but I can't seem to find one specific for the iPhone. That's my problem. Someone recommended these guys from maxx-energie here but to no avail.
Nor those PIE or Precision Interface Electronics have anything I can use.
Take note that this is mainly related to the iPhone. Other iPods aren't necessarily affected by this.
Thanks.
