There's your problem right there, you failed to specify which iPhone you had before asking for advice. The 2g iPhone was not released OFFICIALLY in the philippines, hence is not supported by Globe or any other provider, your iPhone was most likey jailbroken and Unlocked which are illegal here on this forum, there are other fora that specialize in said procedures.

Upgrading an 2g iPhone from iTunes, reverts it back to it's AT&T lock which means, it can only be used in the US. The only official iPhone in the Philippines is the iPhone 3g.
