Iphone 1st gen restore problem
Hey guys,
I need some help. Im in a bit of a rut here. I was tinkering around with my friends 1st gen iphone trying to upgrade the firmware. Then after a failed update I tried restoring it and came up with the error 1604. I went on the net, did the google and tried all the possible solutions and still no go. I have tried processes on different computers 2 Macs and a PC and the error still appears.
Well, if any of you guys would recommend a good iphone repair person or repair shops I would be very thankful. I know I could just walk in greenhills and try some of the shops there but someone here might know an Iphone expert. Wouldnt want some novice trying to fix the phone.
Thanks fellow Philmugers!

Re: Iphone 1st gen repair
you would have to ship it but this company does iphone repairs and have lots of good feedback about them on the ratings charts:

my brother used them to fix his ipod video and they did great work and were cheap too so you might want to send them an email.

Hi Laura123, I was thinking of someone who could do it here in Manila, but if all else fails, I guess im left with no choice.

Re: Iphone 1st gen repair
tito rens: The title of your thread might be a little misleading since you are have problems with the software not hard therefore soliciting a reply like wat Laura pointed out. There are a lot of discussion groups that might help you with your predicament.

Re: Iphone 1st gen repair
Sorry about that incident. I didn't mean to mislead anyone.
I've been browsing around the forums (philmug included) looking for solutions and all that I try doesn't seem to work. But I havn't given up yet.
