iPhone 16GB, Is it ok to buy now ?

Hey guys, I'm planning to buy an iPhone 16GB this week, since my tito will be going back here in the philippines from US.

Can it be unlocked na ba ?

Im pretty sure they cant be unlocked yet, since the last 8G models with 1.1.3 firmware and the new baseband are still unlockable, I think we can expect the newer 16GB models to have the same or even newer Fw and Basebands, but I'm confident they will come up with a solution, they always do....as of the moment I think its safe to assume that you can jailbreak it and use it as an expensive iPod touch while waiting for the phone functions

I got mine just today, its 1.1.3 and 4.03.13... i have to wait before i can take it for a spin.

i hope they can unlock it na by end of march as i will be having one courtesy of the "X".... yahoo!!! anyways, ill be happy having it as an ipod touch for the meantime....

Sorry to say this but the sim solutions only work on OTB 1.1.2 iPhones...or older versions of course...

There's an asian release this year but there's still a possbility that it won't get released in the Philippines.
