iPhone 1.1.4 after activation and jailbreak Step by Step

Hi all,

I think it's interesting to start a new tread for a step a step on 1.1.4 as everybody uses different methods and steps to get their iPhone up and running so please everybody follows the pattern as I start with mine:

Once my iPhone is jailbroken and unlocked thanx to Ziphone 2.5c:

1 Refresh of Installer and add of rep.frenchiphone.com source (for demon apple filesharefile)
2 Install of demon apple file sharing, ulctl, bsd subsystem, open ssh, summerboard and smsd
3 Enter the iPhone using apple+k (thanx to demon filesharing)
4 Change of the bubbles color in sms app
5 Edit of Weather app info plist to enable weather icon to change with my theme
6 Add my ringtones
7 Change the App Support according to EDv
8 Speed up sms app by cutting and pasting Philippines from /system/library/frameworks/AppSupport.framework/support. to top of the list
9 Upload my own SMB theme
10 unplug and reboot iPhone

Voila :-)

Hi frenchipino, you may want to change your thread title to 'iPhone 1.1.4 Personal Customization (after Unlock): Step by Step'.

The current title is vague and can mislead others to think this is another unlocking thread

Upgrade to 1.1.4 then run Ziphone and click start.

frenchipino, that's why I suggested you change the thread title. Anybody reading the title would mistake this as another unlock thread - which is not what you meant in the first place, isn't it?

I'm not in 1.1.4 yet but here's my routine - generic enough for any firmware version

1. Assuming Installer.app is there after activation and jailbreak, I install BSD, OpenSSH
2. Set up Wifi SSID
3. Disconnect and restart.
4. Sync iPhone to get contacts, photos, and iTunes library.
5. Install AppSupport mods (every firmware needs it now I guess)
6. Install Lockbox and upload my Lockbox data file.
7. Sync mailbox esp my Gmail IMAP
8. Set time settings, brightness, auto-lock, and region.

Then I'm off.

Any other apps installed is just non-standard but I'll consider my iPhone usable after the steps above.

Sir, sa pagkakaalam ko hindi parin gumagana ang customization. it works as apps yes but the changes you made is not. what method did you use to change the bubble color did you do any trick?

Oh im sorry, it's the things that you do with your iPhone after activation. Kinda mislead with the title.

I had changed the title to "iPhone 1.1.4 Personal Customization (after Unlock): Step by Step" like bachus suggested but Elbert changed it again ...
it's not for activation and jailbreak it's the steps that come after that we're talking about here :-)
So I guess my very first title was really misleading eheheh

Anyways, now it should be ok ...

to answer extremebluemagic, the bubbles are in fact just 2 colorred bubbles that I kept and renamed Balloon_1.png and Balloon_2.png so I don't have to worry weather customize is working at the moment the new fw comes out or not ...

So i guess using customize and designer image set will do the trick for u just the same ;-)
