How many pages can ur iphone have?

How many pages can ur iphone take before it doesnt allow any new installations?
I recently have the problem in installing apps. I thought it was jiggy runtime, but in fact it I have too many apps. 3 1/2 pages. I deleted some of the apps , and everything was ok now.

i believe that the iphone has a partition for the OS and apps, which is just about 300MB, that's why you can only install around 3-4 pages of apps. if you want to free up some more space, you can install BossTool:

hhmm, mine's 4 pages now (16 apps each page), but i've seen others with 6 or 7 desktop pages.

from the 1.1.3 update i heard max is 9 pages

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I saw it on the 1.1,3 demo video on the Apple site that you can have up to 9 page to scroll through.

yup max on the new update is in fact 9. I'm not quite sure if I've ever seen anyone using older FW with more than 7, I guess there's not much apps to be had at least until you're using webclips, I have 3 pages worth of webclips alone

if you haven't noticed yet, after you have filled up your springboard (desktop) it automatically fills up the next "page", then you can slide to that next "page" to see your other apps,
