How Do You Reduce the Size of "Others" in the iPhone Tab in iTunes?

I know how to reduce the sizes of the music, videos and photos section in the iPhone tab in iTunes: you simply delete them in your library. But I don't know how to reduce the "Others" (the one with the orange bar). Can anyone please help? Thanks in advance.

I think others tends to be thing like Album covers, calendar & contact information, emails & attachments, SMS msgs, Files & other things you may have synched to your iPhone using Apps like Airsharing, cache files for Safari & other Apps, & the actual OS software itself.

Anyone know more or have detail info, please add to this thread your insight and findings.

I think its the OS files. Yeah and I think you could trim down on those stuff as rafael said.. if your mail is configured with yahoo.. it downloads the attachments so watch out for those 10mb-ish attachments..
