How do I manually copy apps to iPod Touch?

I've got a Jailbroken Touch. I was experimenting with moving files. So I copied the game app to my Mac. Then I deleted the app on my Touch. Then I copied the app back to the Touch. rebooted but game won't launch. How do I go about this?

This mishap is a result of attempting to move apps to the larger partition. Howver despite following web tutorials, I get Permissions Denied when creating symbolic links. How do I fix this?

Update, Bosstool did the trick. Push button convenience. The 300mb app allocation was freed up. i no longer get the Low Disk Space warning.
