How to completely erase iPod shuffle?

I used my shuffle as a flashdrive and after doing so, I manually deleted the files using my Mac after using it on a PC.

However, the free space has not changed and so I took a look at what Disk Utility can do; it warned me not to erase my shuffle since doing so could cause it to lose some functions. I did not push through with erasing it so now my shuffle is only at half-capacity.

Anyone have a solution to this? Thanks a lot.

Just run your iPod Updater software, do a restore and you should be fine. In case you don't have it, you can get it here.
