How to best register an iPod Apple Care and which SN to use?
I recently bought an iPod Applecare for my 3rd gen iPod.
BUT the problem is I don't know how to go about it because of the ff. reasons:
1. The iPod I bought last June 2004 was damaged and replaced by another 3rd gen iPod by Apple Service Center this Sept. 2004.
2. Since I just bought my iPod Applecare, I am NOT sure what SN to place in the SN box when asked to register the iPod.
3. Will I use the original iPod SN or will I use the SN of the replacement iPod?
thus I still cant register it because of this dilemma.
One of the possible options to register is by regular mail (snail Mail) to Singapore.
Is it better to register online or just do both?
Any help is appreciated.
TIA

Hey.. where you able to register your Applecare already? My friend did the registration online too last week, but how long does it take before you receive the card from Apple? The one that you will be showing during servicing.

I tried but it was unsuccessful.
The 800 number for the applecare for Philippines does not work.

Which telephone company did you use? PLDT, Bayantel, Digitel, SMART, Globe, ETPI, PT&T, Philcom or Liberty. Not sure on which one it will work.

online registration works by region--that is, registring US-bought products in asia-pacific may result in your SN not being recognized.
if you got your applecare from apple center, let them do it for you. (that's what lawrence did for me, for the applecare for my US-bought albook.) he'll give you a printout showing your regsitration. dealers have a backdoor to the system.
