help: winsc connection always timed out

i got my iphone last December and i still can't seem to be able to transfer ROMS to my iphone. whenever i log-in using winscp i always get the message "network error: connection timed out". am i doing something wrong? i already have SSH open..been trying to do this for the past couple of weeks, hope you guys can help...thanks

hmmm.. do you have the correct IP address of your iPhone? if you have a wireless router it may change from time to time.

Check it by tapping the blue arrow at the right of your wi-fi connection, you'll see the IP address.

And also make sure that your PC (i assume coz you're using winscp) is connected to the same wireless connection as your iPhone.

yup i'm pretty sure that i inputted the right ip add..is there any other info i need to enter besides ip add username and password? Thanks

Also check your windows firewall setting... It may be blocking the access of winscp.

right click your wireless connection, status, properties, advanced, settings, turn firewall off.

Better check your IP address again, coz it changes. and the first time you connect it'll take about more than 30 seconds.
