HELP pleaseeee

ok.. im starting to unlock my iphone right now using this link http://modmyiphone.com/wiki/index.ph...ck_OS_X_Part_1
i cant even get past the 1st step! the one where they say i should restore and update my iphone to 1.0.2, i restored it.. and so i was downloading the 1.0.2 firmware in itunes. the problem is it takes forever to finish the download! 15hrs remaining!?!?! and because it takes soo long to finish the download, the screen of my itunes goes to the at&t activation menu. is this wrong? pls i need some help. if you someone would be kind to leave their ym id so that i can communicate easily with you guys. thanks so much.
