    Default help my ipod hanged!

Hi i can't operate my ipod! its on hold mode but when i switch it back to normal mode the hold mode is still on. I was holding it while i was running in the treadmill when all of a sudden the music stopped. I tried pulling the earphones out and putting it back on but nothing happens. I am hearing a whirring sound and its warm to the touch. What should i do?

This happened to me this morning... I wanted to skip to the next song, when all of a sudden the ipod just froze. PANIC! Ended up letting the battery run till it died, then charged it again. So far, it's working again. Scary!

my iPod tends to hang when i use that Belkin Battery backup and when i turn on and off the power or when the cable connector is removed. But it has never hanged in the DLO Transpod setup in the car. Even though it gets banged up pretty well. Have you updated the software ?

One reassuring thing is that local Apple Support is pretty good. When my iPod wouldn't mount I brought it to Apple Center in Greenbelt and they promptly replaced since it was still under warranty. Took exactly 5 working days. Since this incident, I've already planned an iPod AppleCare purchase next month when my warranty expires.

i think it's normal. it happend to me once. i was walking so fast and my ipod is in pocket... the music stopped and when i pulled it put it was off... and i can't turn it on again.. i did all the things the manual said. i was already worried. and was planning to take it to an apple center.. after about 5 hours... (the ipod was charging at that 5 hours) i take alook at it and he apple logo appeared! i was so hapy! my ipod was ok after all... nex time don't run, walk briskly, or jog with the ipod in your pocket. or if you're holding it... don't move too much for this will definitely "hang" the ipod. it has moving parts inside.. .i think that's why... the ipod comsumes so much power when it is moved too much.if you are in the gym and can't detach yourself from your ipod or when jogging better buy an armstrap-holder or a belt holder for the ipod to avoid "shaking" it. thus, conserving its battery.
