HELP: Can't access wi-fi after upgrading from 1.1.1 to 1.1.4

Hello PhilMUG,

I just upgraded my jailbraked 8 gb ipod touch 1.1.1 to 1.1.4. When I tried connecting to my wireless network, I can't connect to it anymore. What gives? In 1.1.1, I didn't have any problems connecting to my wireless network(ad-hoc) and accessing the Internet. I kept the same settings on my laptop. I didn't change any settings. Only that when I upgraded to 1.1.4, I can't connect to the network anymore. Please help. Thanks.

try to redo the process again...

i have just upgraded my iTouch last Fri to 1.1.4 the only problem i encountered was the keyboard freezes but i can connect to wi-fi...

what i did is i just restored it again and run ZiPhone v2.6b . . . HTH

nah.. i tried restoring it again but still nothing.. then restored it again and nothing.. tried this also jailbreaked and non-jailbreaked..

Bro,

Try to restore again your ipod using ziphone2.6b but this time click first the FIXNVRAM after that choose the DFU mode in ziphone2.6b (hope you are using windows) then after DFU mode try to restore it again then after restoring, without closing the itunes jailbreak it using ziphne 2.6b.

tried what you said.. ganun padin.. ayaw mag connect sa network ko.. dati ok naman.. nakikita nya yun ip, subnet, router, etc.

i tried to reset all the settings.. ganun parin.. sigh..

weird, na piping ko pa nga yung ipod ko.. sometimes, nakukuha nya yung full link lets say www.google.com at nagiging www.google.com/ph*****etc... pero nag loload cya dun 1 second lang at maputol...

Another scary jailbreaked iPod Touch, I really don't want to jailbreak my iPod Touch it saves me a lot of time playing music than worrying to update it then update then update and so on...Hope everything goes well on your iPod Touch.

Try going to Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Network Settings...

Nothing to worry about with the tried and tested 1.1.1 Jailbreak. I'm still on that one and my iPod is better than ever. I am not an app and update hog. I have all the apps I need and nothing more. In fact I have deleted the apps that I no longer use. I have not updated anything since. Not even Install.app prompted updates. I am not fixing something that isn't broken. Until I see a compelling reason to update, I won't. Above all, I will not be a pioneer. I only try proven methods with zero failure.
